Expand How do I bring a family member to come and live in the United States?

Your relationship with the beneficiary (person being petitioned) will determine the process and the length of time the process will take.  Each process is different and require individualized forms.  Please see our “FAMILY IMMIGRATION” page for more details, or call us at 415-835-6000 to schedule an initial consultation.

Expand Can I apply for asylum from abroad?

A person may not apply for asylum from their home country as asylum applications are only processed here in the United States.

Expand How do I get a work permit?

A work permit is obtained by filing form I-765 with USCIS only if you have a currently pending application that permits work authorization.  Unfortunately, there is no ability to apply for a stand-alone work permit.  All work permits are issued as a result of a previously filed and pending application with USCIS.  Please call us and we can explain the nuances of obtaining a work permit particular to your situation.

Expand Are there free attorneys in Immigration court?

There are no “public defenders” or volunteer attorneys in immigration court.  Please call our office if you would like to schedule a consultation with one of our attorneys to asssit you if you have an upcoming court hearing.

Expand How much is your initial consultation fee?

$150 that can be paid by credit card, check, money order or cash.
